Results and Case Studies

Read the dollars first

These are recorded appraisal outcomes from the firm's case files. Each dollar case starts with the insurer's first number and ends with the appraisal award. The source file does not establish whether each first number was an estimate, a payment, an offer, or another valuation. This page therefore uses the precise neutral label the record supports: insurer's first number.

Past results do not guarantee or predict your outcome. Your claim turns on your damage, documentation, policy, and panel.

Sam K., Hurricane Ian

Sam K. selected Loss Recovery Experts as appraiser on a Hurricane Ian claim after the insurer's initial offer fell far short of the loss. The claim settled at over 300 percent of that initial offer.

Sam wrote the firm a letter about the experience. The letter belongs here in full and in his own words.

What these cases have in common

The first number did not end the inquiry. The appraisal record forced the valuation back to the damaged property, the required repair, and the documents that supported each item.

That does not mean every low estimate belongs in appraisal. The disputed amount still needs to justify the time and expense of the process. The review tests that before the firm accepts an assignment.
